Welcome

When I made my first nine day trip to Luis Eduardo Magalhaes (or LEM for short) in Bahia, Brazil in September 2012, I was hoping to do a few cross country flights in my friend Gugui’s Jantar Standard 2 and get a taste of the great thermal soaring weather that Gugui promised was waiting for me in Bahia. As it turned out, that short trip exceeded all my expectations.

A little more than a year later, after having taken two trips to Bahia, I realize that am totally hooked and I plan to go back there every year for as long as I can.

I have started this blog in order to share my experience with my gliding friends all over the world and I hope that many of them will be able to experience flying in Bahia in the years to come. For now there are two entries describing my trips to Bahia in 2012 and 2013. I hope that there will be many more in the future.
